Pleo, I hope you don't mind me kicking this off.
Well, that was hectic. Now we begin the long, worrying wait to see whether Darth was one of the baddies.
We've got a few things to think about.
To ask the obvious question, what role do we think Nanook holds?
My main focus of suspicion was on Oredigger and Santo Rugger; the former for mischaracterisations, and the latter for one or two comments that struck me oddly.
Who are your prime suspects, and do you have any reasons? Let's start building up dossiers.
Who do we investigate?
Who do we protect?
All things to think on in this long Night.

Nanook - doesn't matter which faction he is, he's not town. Let's not waste an investigation on him.
I'm going to suggest we protect me, because I have an unnatural way of dying on night one when I'm a big fat power role. I also came out against Nanook. It didn't cause much of an eyebrow raise, but uncommented on does not equal unnoticed.
Investigatee List: NaturalBlondChap - I think he slipped with his stance on modkills, and then was disappointed at the beginning of the night when there were no modkills.
I don't have any more to add to the list right now.
I'm scared that if Nanook is a wolf, that if a fellow wolf comes under fire that they will claim witch and "verify" each other. I wanted to counterclaim him SO BAD! but it was too early and hopefully someone will target him eventually.
We don't need to investigate CIAS or Brewha as the roles they claimed are self-verifying.
Those are my thoughts for now. I am assuming RoOsh won't be with us this night, so it's me and you kiddo.

Whoops it was Nanook who was disappointed, and NBC who placed a late vote for oredigger that made a tie possible again.
Can't shake the feeling that NBC is scum.

:crickets chirp:
I'm going to vote to Protect Hockey Monkey and Investigate NaturalBornChap.
Just in case you don't get back Mhaye, at least we'll have a night action on record.

We've got another four days or so to make up our mind, HM. Dawn of Day 2 isn't until next Monday (3pm your time) thanks to the 4th July.
Right now I'm prioritising Apocalypse, but I promise I'll put some work into this game tomorrow. And with any luck we'll have Roosh back. Three heads are better than one, eh?
I'll confess; I was half hoping to have to claim, so I could out Nanook as the liar he is. I'm OK with leaving him for a Day or two. My one worryis that, because we reacted so similarly over him, we might get pegged. Maybe one of us should moderate the scepticism?
So, Roosh.
Nanook is a liar. Whatever you do, don't suggest Nanook might be lying until good evedence of his falsehoods emerge.

I'm OK with investigating NaturalBlondChap, but I want to hold off on a final decision until the end of the weekend if that's OK by you.
The size of the game is giving me headaches. Where do we look for clues?
I'm going to review SR's posts ad do a linked summary in his dossier thread. There's two reasons for this; one is that something twinged my mafia-hunting senses a few days back; the other is that SR is likely to be the largest volume poster, and it'll be easier to keep on top of what he wrote if we do it from the start.
If I get the time I'll go on to Oredigger, who dealt out some misrepresentation of positions in 540, and something else late in the Day.
*Takes deep breath, dives into the maelstrom of the thread.*

Hey, I'm back!
I don't think i'll be killed or be a target yet, as I've made i think one post so far.
And i've not read the thread yet.
Anything I should look out for though? As I'm gonna have to read the whole shebang by Monday.... anyone i should pay attention to or anything?
And I'm fine with protecting Hockeymonkey. Though I feel our investigation should go to someone a bit more experienced at the game (ie: Story or such), but if NBC has given evidence that he's not on the up and up, then yeah, we should check him out. I'll defer to you two on that one.

Bad Witches! This area is not secure (not protected by passwords, etc). Potentially anyview can view this if they know (or can guess) the url. I'll be moving threads to the secret area.

Ok, I've moved everything to the secret area and wiped off your traces from the general board. You should be safe.

And I reset display names and emails. Safer that way (I'm probably overly paranoid).

Pleo, is it possible to eliminate the "Add Poll" button from the bottom of thread views please? It's getting on my nerves. Or at least move it so that "Reply" is the leftmost of those buttons? That makes three times in less than 24 hours I've clicked on it instead of "Reply" because it's the leftmost button. If not, I'll just grit my teeth and scream. Witch2 : I'd rather reply to this post here than in its original thread, because that's really for discussion of WhatSRHasDone. I'm only a little more suspicious of SR than of most people, and that's only because of a slight slip. The reason I started the Santo Dossier is that he posts so much that to investigate his posts is a nightmare unless you start early and keep on top of it while he's in the game. That list of posts actually omits quite a number, and just look at how many there are. He'll turn my hair white(r). But later on that might be useful for looking back and seeing what he said Today cf (say) Day 5. Our list of PossibleScum should have 26 names on it right now; everyone alive but us three and Nanook, who qualifies for ProbableScum because of this post in which he claims to be One Of Us. NBC has drawn a hairy eyeball owing to his stated reason for voting for Oredigger right at the end of the Day - it was to assure no tie, when at the time Darth S was two votes ahead. IOW his vote made a tie more probable, while saying he wanted to do the opposite. Thing is, on reflection, it seems to me it might be a mistake anyone can make. The thread was moving quite fast then, and if he were relying on the official votecount it might have put them in a tie. (I don't know what Pleo's votecount said at that point, but he had warned he might be a bit slow in responding to things). To be honest, the person I'd most like to investigate is Oredigger77, for reasons having to do with post 540. I'll be logging his posts in a similar fashion to Santo's, before Daybreak (still have over 24 hours). I'm not going to object to NBC's investigation but I'd rather look elsewhere Tonight and see what happens to NBC in the morning.

And while I'm here.
Pleo, am I right in assuming that if one of us is killedd off, they can continue to participate in strategy discussions here Overnight, make analysis fopr the benefit of the living and so on?

It doesn't matter much to me which one we investigate between Oredigger and NBC. It's entirely possible they are both scum, but I don't see them as being on the same team. In fact if you guys want to investigate Santo, I'd be OK with that too. I don't 100% believe that CIAS is the detective, but I was wondering what you guys thought. Should we protect him or stick with me (or another one of us)?

I'm all for protecting one of us. Sometimes the gut reaction is the right reaction. We still have 28 hours to change our minds on both of the choices, so I'm in no hurry right now.
Let me put together my post on Oredigger to date and let me know what you think?

Oh, NBC claimed in post 997 that the explanation he gave for his vote on Oredigger was not the true one and he has something left unrevealed.
He's flourishing a Magic Bag, in other words.
Gah!

I did what I could to turn off polls. I hope that helps (I get a different view than, you I can't tell directly).
Yes, dead Witches can fully participate here, talking and voting. That's one of the key powers of the Witches.

I think the Add Poll option is there for the thread creator only. So if it really bugs you, don't make any more threads.

Thanks Pleo. The Add Poll option is now gone, and the Reply button is now the leftmost of those options. All is right with the world. And thanks for the confirmation that we can remain involved.
